I am 53 years old and a Florida native! In 1977 I moved to Colorado to be with my husband. I worked in the aerospace/architectural arena as a Cad Manager or Tech Writer for 27 years.

In August of 2002 my husband called me at work and told me I had lost my youth, I was too overweight to enjoy life, that his life was miserable and he wanted a divorce! By March of 2003, he had totally disappeared off the face of the earth, (even his sister put in a missing persons report for him).

I looked around Colorado and found I was all alone, so I decided to move back to Florida to be with my family in September of 2003. Since returning to Florida, I have worked temp jobs, but have not found anything permanent. I moved down here to make a new life for myself and have had to start all over, and not having a good time of it.

When I got that phone call, saying I was a finalist, I just couldn’t believe that God would be so good to me to give me a chance for a really fresh start at life. That a dream was so close to reach; to wash away the age, and the stress of the past year and a half!

I have several things that I am looking forward to having done in my Makeover. I have my grandfather's good French nose, and it looked great on him; but ever since I was in high school, I have been embarrassed by my profile. So I would like to get the hooked, bulbous end taken off, and have it shortened into a pleasing profile. The last few years I have been really bothered with a jowly double chin that adds years to my appearance (not to mention that is the first thing I see in family pictures). I would like to get liposuction and a lower face lift to correct this. I would like to have an upper and lower eyelid tuck to get rid of those sagging lids and fine lines; and a brow lift to get rid of the worry lines that have recently appeared there. With no insurance for the past 2 years, I have not been able to keep up with my dental work, and have lost a tooth. I would like straight, white teeth with even gums, and replace the missing tooth with an implant.  In Colorado I was very active, camping, hunting, 4-wheeling, traveling. I moved to Florida hoping that I could continue with these activities, but since having knee surgery, I have not been able to do anything. I am hoping that Club Performax can help me with some rehabilitation of my knee, leg strength, flatten out my tummy, and tone up my arms. I am looking forward to doing some canoeing, birding, antiquing and camping; as well as take up gardening again.  Finally, I would like to get some kind of resurfacing that would remove the lines above my upper lip and even out my skin tone.

This wonderful opportunity of a Makeover would really help me put my best face forward as I start a new life here. There is a much younger population here that I have to compete with for jobs. This makeover would give me back my smile and my confidence, get me out to meet new people (and maybe a nice guy!); and let me have my LIFE back- to pursue all those things I love doing!
